Dr. Rajan M Shah completed his MBBS from Mumbai University in 1979, followed by MCh (Neurosurgery) in 1986. He has undergone advanced training in neurosurgery at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, Republic of Ireland for the period of 3 years. He has travelling fellowships at Mount Sinia Hospital, New York, Fugita university hospital, Japan and others to obtain experience in management of microscopic surgical management of Neuro vascular and skull base diseases.
His special interest lies in management of trigeminal neuralgia, offering both the options of Microvascular Decompression surgery and percutaneous radio frequency ablation of the trigeminal nerve (a day care procedure). He is well versed in management of spinal tumours and various other kinds of degenerative spinal pathologies using the minimal access route procedures.
Dr. Shah has presented his work at many on various platforms and has authored 10 publications.
