Dr. Goutham Kumar

Dr. Goutham Kumar is a Senior consultant in Liver, Pancreas and Bile duct surgeries at sparsh group of hospitals, which has a multidisciplinary program specializing in Liver and pancreas transplantation, laparoscopic and robotic surgeries for the advanced liver and pancreatic cancer. He graduated from Bangalore Medical College and went on to pursue his surgical residency in Grant Medical college in Mumbai. He completed his training in advanced Liver, Pancreas and biliary surgeries with multiorgan transplant surgery from the renowned University of Pittsburgh, USA . His areas of expertise include Liver and Pancreas Cancer, Chronic liver diseases and advanced Abdominal cancer. Prior to current stint he has worked in Manipal group of hospitals and Indraprastha Apollo hospital. He is a member of American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS), The Transplantation Society (TTS), International Society for Liver transplantation (ILTS), International Xenotransplantation Association(IXA) and American Hepatobiliary Pancreas Association (AHPBA). He has multiple publications in leading international journals including Diabetes, Liver transplantation, Transplantation and cell transplantation journals. His research interest includes Genomics of liver cancer, Pediatric metabolic diseases and xenotransplantation. DR.KUMAR is now serving as a senior liver transplant consultant  at sparsh group of hospitals.
